5-Volt Conversion Cable

The adapter cable connects between the accessory iPod Interface Kit dock connector and the iPod, and allows the 4th Generation Nano, 2nd Generation Touch and newer iPod that require a 5 Volt source to recharge. The adapter is not necessary for earlier generation of iPod models which can be charged using a 12 Volt source.
