Although born in the Windy City, I spent most of my formative years in the Seattle area making friends and going to school. Before starting my career at Carter Motors I worked for a local Ford dealer. Even so I have always been a VW enthusiast with a passion for cars and driving, making VW and Subaru a great fit!
I started my time with Carter in May of 2004 and have been the top VW salesperson for the last six consecutive years. I am also Master Certified as a Sales Consultant by VW of America, and have owned 10 new VW's. Working for company that is so involved in the local community and such an intricate part of the neighborhood is both fun and rewarding. Our association with so many nearby events and tree planting initiative is both fun and the right thing to do. The approachability of our entire staff starts with our owner and is one of the reasons I bought multiple cars from Carter VW years before I was an employee. I am proud to work at such a generous and environmentally conscious employer that goes the extra mile for the community. I feel my customers appreciate my assistance, knowledge and willingness to assist them all the way through the buying process as well as our entire company's involvement and investment in their satisfaction.
Hobbies: In my spare time I like to explore new places in Seattle with my dogs. You can often find me at Magnuson Park or Greenlake, and I have been known to volunteer at the local animal shelter, where I adopted my newest dog. Weather permitting, I enjoy a nice day on the water either boating or kayaking but I also enjoy a nice hike up one of our mountains or bluffs.
My hometown is Seattle, WA. I started with Carter Motors May 29, 2004. My hobbies include playing basketball, traveling, going to concerts, music, camping, hiking and working out. I also enjoy working in the community and helping young people.
I was born and raised here in Seattle. In my previous career I was an electrical contractor, I did that for about 15 years. I have one child, a lovely daughter that just entered High School. I'm very passionate about my role of being a father. I was a customer here at Carter Motors, before coming to work here. I always had a great experience as a customer and it's equally to work here as a sales consultant.

I began working in the sales department at Carter Motors in August of 2009. My hometown is Seattle although I did live in the bay area for 17 years. I have always had a great appreciation for Volkswagen products. I also think that Subaru is a terrific Northwest car for the climate and terrain that we live in. I actually purchased my first car after college here at Carter and continued to buy a few more for my family. I always felt that I was treated very well here like I was part of the family ! I don't think I have ever bought a car anywhere else! I'm from a family of sales people and I suppose selling is in my blood. I was exposed to interesting cars as a child as my father who also works at Carter Motors has had a love for fast sports cars and has raced sports cars for over 45 years!
I have also enjoyed the outdoors over my entire life which includes skiing for 43 years, playing tennis since I was a teen, sailing, going to the beach and traveling internationally. I love working with people and helping them to find the perfect car!

With Carter in January, 2010 and re-opened the used lot on 53rd street and 15th ave NW.
I first began selling cars in 1984 for Becker Buick GMC in Spokane. In the 17 years with Becker I became the Finance Manager for 9 years. We were a small company and 3 other managers including the owner and myself shared many jobs of running the dealership. My Wife and I moved to Seattle after our last child left home. I worked as a Mortgage Broker and owned a Business leasing company. After a few years of doing that I missed the Automotive Business and went to work for Toyota of Seattle at first as a sells consultant and later as a sales manager. I also was the Truck manager or as Toyota called it the Truck Champion. I enjoy used cars and trucks and the used lot on 15th is a perfect fit for me. It is also close to home, I live in beautiful Ballard!
Hobbies: I enjoy playing guitar as well as dancing Argentine Tango and other dances with my wife Marie.

Ever since I could crawl and push around a toy car, my passion has always been cars. From playing with hot-wheels, driving the go-cart we had, to making my dad take me to car shows I would see advertised- I have always had an insatiable need to be around cars.
I really am incredibly fortunate to have been selected for a sales position with Carter. The first time I visited the store, I instantly knew that Carter would be the perfect place for me. I felt right at home- indeed a rare find amongst any auto dealerships.
Why be a car salesman? That question comes up a lot. From working in a restaurant, I realized that I really enjoy customer service. It feels so rewarding to be able to help someone out, provide answers and solutions, and to show them how enjoyable it is to have excellent customer service. Since I love cars, and enjoy customer service, what could be better?
I am out to change the world?if only. Well I at least want to change the perception of the car buying experience. Buying things is supposed to be fun and enjoyable right? When I go out for dinner, or go shopping, the experience of buying something is always much better when you are having fun. Buying a new car should be no different!
